The last 4 days I have been in Germany, home country of the German Shepherd.
I arrived at Frankfurth Hahn alsmost at midnight Friday. Per Roger, Gerti and Heike was there to meet me..
With Heike driving the trip to Biblis was done in Rally Style :)
The Motell room was just great and I paced out some of my things and then went to bed at almost 03 in the middle of the night.
Saturday we went to the kennel area and both vom Zidena and vom Schloßgäßchen has their dogs there. The area is next to the training field of OG Biblis.
First we looked at the last litter of vom Schloßgäßchen. A combination of Winner vom Assaut and Fely vom Schloßgäßchen.
Dark, powerful and very expressive puppies... I liked them a lot.
Messi is also down at there and she looked great. She is developing just great and it was very nice to see her again.
She is doing great in obedience and bitework and I want to thank Gerti for doing such a SUPERB job with her.
We were going to Heikes birthday this evening, so we had to go shopping after we were finished with all the dogs.
The birthday party was just started when we arrived and we was served great food and afterwards plenty of cake and other treats for the thirsty :)
We had to leave the party pretty early because we had to be up early the day after. LG show was first up Sunday morning.
Landesgruppenzuchtshau OG Heiligenwald 2007. Dommere:

Gebrauchshundeklasse hündinnen: Bernhard Norda
Junghundklasse rüden: Helmut König
Junghundklasse hündinnen: Bernhard Norda
Jugensklasse rüden: Hans-Peter Rieker
Jugenklasse hündinnen: Peter Arth
Several Norwegian dogs entered the ring Sunday and the results was shifting. No one mentioned, no one forgotten :))
Another important detail is the poring rain... It was raining non stop the hole day and blowing a lot as well, and everywhere you went is was muddy and dogs and owners were wet and dirty.
When we finally was finished for the day, everyone was very pleased to get in the car and Gerti turned the heater on full speed.
Even tough the weather was bad, the experience was just fantastic. The LG show was bigger that Swedish/Nordic Siegershow and it was incredible to see how they put everything together.
Everything was done by the book and everything went smoothly.
Many high quality dogs was entered in the different rings and I saw several VA dogs. The female rings seemed to be hardest this day and with between 50-75 dogs in the classed the dogs and owners really had to fight for the highest places.
After a warm shower we went out to eat on a wonderful Italian restaurant in Biblis. Gerti, Per Roger and my self was served incredible food and afterwards there was even room for dessert.
Monday it was back to the kennels and dogs of all sizes needed some attention. Kennel Schloßgäßchen has many high quality dogs and it was very nice to see parents, siblings and other relatives to the two Schloßgäßchen dogs we have at home.
This afternoon another celebration was in order, when one of the clubs members was turning 80 years old this day. It was celebrated with BBQ and a lot of nice salads.
Once again we had to leave a bit early and this time it was to go to OG Griesheim were Gerti was doing bitework with two of the dogs. One was a Russian male and the other was Aika vom Funken Spiel, Per Rogers female. She was getting prepared for the biting at Siegershow in September.
She did a fantastic bitework and it will be exciting to see her at the Sieger.
The training was very well organised and everything went smooth.
More to come!
